“It’s Too Damn Early,” 4/2/11

This weekend is a great time to be an experimental music fan in Southern Illinois! “Outside The Box” opens tonight with “An Evening of Radio Art & Surround Sound Works” in the Christian H. Moe Theater at 7:30 p.m.

The evening features works from Anna Friz, Barry Truax, Jean-Phillipe Renoult, Jay Needham, and others. There will also be a live performance with Chicago instrument builder and composer Eric Leonardson— I’m looking forward to it! (I’m going to try to get some photos of the setup posted at my own “STARTLING MONIKER” blog later, if you’re interested!)
